Freelance Project Summary:
404 error handling page that transfers / redirects as appropriate
to destination URLs that depend on the initial requested URL.
Technologies Required:
ASP (VB Script), HTML Frames and possibly some javascript.

Consider the situation where the contents of the root folder of
a website might have been moved to a different folder but still
on the same website, for example, the file that was previously
located at: http://www.me-too.net/pagename.asp might
have been moved to http://www.me-too.net/newfolder/pagename.asp
- the filename has not been changed
only its location.
The 404 script therefore needs to check if the requested file
exists in the 'newfolder' folder (in the above example) and
display it if
it does. Additionally, the file should be loaded using the server.transfer
method in order to preserve rankings in the search engines. If
the requested file (/ folder) does not exist in the new location
then a file not found message should be displayed instead. With

The destination file in the new location needs to be displayed
in a frame page i.e. so that a links menu can
be added
to all pages
in the 'newfolder' without any of the relocated
pages themselves needing to be modified. Intrasite links contained
within the relocated files should still work.
The implementation must not require any changes
be made to the relocated pages themselves but you can create whatever
files / includes etc you need in the root of the webserver.
