example developer projects and contracts...
We are a small company with large aspirations... how are we to
achieve these aspirations without the help tallented developers and designers? To keep our costs down we
tend employ teleworkers as this removes the need for having costly offices and also means our developers can spend more time working rather than sat in eco-unfriendly traffic! This page links to some sample smaller projects that serve as simpler / minimum requirements for anyone looking to join the team...
Example / sample development projects:
Our Philosophies:
Technologies / Platforms / Operating Systems:
For most of our web-based projects we prefer to code
in .net or php as our code will be running on
either a Windows webserver or a Linux web server.
Timescales for Freelance Project Delivery:
The sooner the better! However, the emphasis is on a well-coded,
working solution rather than a quickly delivered, untested hack!!
Tip: our reliability time-wise, rather than speed per se, is often an important decision-making criteria
for clients considering whether to reuse us for subsequent projects.
Prices / Quotes for Development Work:
We tend to provide fixed price quotes for work rather than charge per hour - this tends to ensure that the prices are more cost effective and that we have exactly the same agenda and goal as the client i.e. to complete the project as well and as expediently as possible!
Payment / Settlement of Our Invoices:
We tend to charge a deposit, stage payments thoughout the project after agreed milestones have been delivered and then the final 'retainer' payment made after project delivery. We expect that our customers pay us promptly as agreed as this helps to keep our prices down as we can spend more of our time coding rather than chasing chasing payment.
Future Projects and Software / App Development
Work:
We want to build ongoing relationships with customers so they can outsource work to us with absolute confidence and with minimal grief. What we offer then, aside from the necessary skills to actually
do the development work (obviously!), is the following:
- VERY reasonable quotes for projects...
- On-time delivery of work (as per your stated timescales)...
- Delivery of work that meets the agreed spec...
- Clear, well structured
and properly commented code...
- Trust... if we say we will do something we will.
- Ideas! If we think of a better way of doing something for you then we will suggest it and you may revise
the project specification inline with our suggestion.
If any of the above unlear then please seek clarification from
us... thanks!
