The web is now open for business and this is evidenced by the fact that in 1993 there were only 26,000 domain names in use (i.e. www.me-too.net) and in 1999 that figure had risen to 5,000,000. Large and small businesses alike are now exploiting the web, no business is too small. In fact one study found that small businesses that use the internet have grown 46% faster than those that do not (American City Business Journals).

There really never has been a better time to get your business on the web - the technology has come of age making web sites affordable for all and the number of web surfers in the UK has reached critical mass. The decision to get online is compounded if you compare your current cost of advertising (in papers, cards in shop windows, leaflet drops and so on) with how much it costs to have an effective web site.
